Ryan Reynolds can start growing his beard right now to play Connor McDavid in the blockbuster movie “STRIKING OIL!” about the Oilers’ epic story of a last-place NHL team that was playing so poorly that the coach was fired and then rebounded to the greatest comeback year in history winning the Stanley Cup for Canada! On the other side of the coin, Ryan Gosling can start shaving his beard off to play Oiler’s Coach Kris Knoblauch.

Chris Robertson

(He grows a fine beard, yes, but perhaps the Merc with the Mouth is too old to play McJesus.)

Foolish politicians

Valuing youth

Worldwide, 333 million children live in extreme poverty, 45 per cent of child deaths are hunger-related, and 222 million children do not have access to quality education while living in crises. These numbers are not just values. They are real children. When finding solutions, we should look to the youth of our world who have the lived knowledge needed to address these challenges. Hence, we must urge Justin Trudeau to have a youth representative at the Summit of the Future delegation in September.

Sydney Peskett

(Those are stark numbers.)
